I’m an anthropologist, sometimes I occupy things & such.

I see anarchism as something you do not an identity...

...so don’t call me the anarchist anthropologist

it’s kind of hilarious looking through all the comments on my piece w @davidwengrow that accuse us of attacking a “straw man.” It’s like people trundle this out automatically the moment you say “most people believe X.” Problem is most people DO believe this & say it all the time.

Two locations now occupied: on bridge and street in front of Porticullis House #defendafrin https://t.co/2TW9kv3CBg

hate to say it but this is true: one reason the politicians, the media, everyone else is ignoring overt fascist aggression against peaceful feminist radical democrats is precisely BECAUSE they are peaceful feminist radical democrats https://t.co/2ytehkZ4yN

so why exactly is the accidental death of a handful of Turkish rich people headline news while mass murder & maiming of poor people in Afrin is never worth mentioning https://t.co/RZPFIC9Usx

More on why they’re trying to deny profs their pensions. Because the people making the decisions want the money for themselves. https://t.co/6lZm1UZyCC

nice to know what the people running our universities really think of the scholars that they inconveniently have to include somehow in their corporations https://t.co/IWZ2RX9VoY

such is the proposed fate of the forces that intervened to save the Yazidis from genocide https://t.co/SaVLrEOQQZ

Labour has already made a play for industry. Without passporting, will finance also at least stay neutral or abandon the Tories? I don’t see what reason they’d have to stick with them if Labour is pushing for a customs union. https://t.co/EjAne3MYTQ

so typical of how authorities react to bullying. Even put aside the super-patriarchal racist element, what happens here? Student A continually threatens B, B ignores it; A attacks B, B doesn’t fight back; A attacks again, B fights back. Both A & B punished for “fighting”. https://t.co/bbdpY4h8rA

or we were all dead because of the nuclear escalation resulting from her sending US forces into Ukraine. There really were no good options in that one. https://t.co/CqtW8DUqBH

Turkey successfully takes the pressure off it’s de facto ally ISIS by invading Afrin and tying down only force willing to fight it https://t.co/oA8YP4X7sM

retweeting this shows just how much I love the students & appreciate their solidarity, because those are REALLY bad puns https://t.co/UWfDEUqFrw

and allow me to introduce my more than brilliant co-author, @davidwengrow. Everyone be nice to him. He’s new on twitter. (Also follow him immediately.) https://t.co/r0yAFhsGeA

Sounds like a plan. I think University lecturers in the UK should be armed as well, preferably with automatic weapons. Cops don’t need guns. Professors need guns. (At least then they’ll stop messing with our pensions.) #armthelecturers #armprofessors https://t.co/Cb0VVSe39G

something is wrong when you’re wearing two layers of socks inside your house & your toes are still cold

If anyone’s following this the circle line konked out entirely im at Edgware Road trying to get an Uber – so I’ll be a little late for the event!

Turkey is playing exactly the same game: they’ll just say obviously ridiculous things – “we’re attacking YPG & ISIS in Afrin” – and the media just repeats it until proven untrue. Meanwhile like the protestors, Afrin’s defenders are expected to irrefutably prove anything they say

so the cops figured this out & just said any outrageous lie they wanted – the anarchists were making bombs, they were throwing acid, shit, molotovs, at cops. And the newspapers would just print it, & then 4 days later MAYBE if we absolutely proved it say “ok it wasn’t true”
