@acc_anarcho @OddestN @l_u_n_a13 mainly though what it brings out is how the identities in question are constituted by their relations: which is elementary dialectics, structuralism, etc. This is especially true of “whiteness” which is ordinarily conceived as only existing in relation to something else.
