I keep hearing dire predictions that “the economy’ (GDP) will decline, in many countries, as much as 35%. This is treated as cataclysmic. My reaction: wait, everyone is locked at home & economic activity only decreased by A THIRD?? Huh? What is the “economy” anyway?
