I’m an anthropologist, sometimes I occupy things & such.

I see anarchism as something you do not an identity...

...so don’t call me the anarchist anthropologist

Maybe aliens have been observing the earth for years but haven’t made contact because they haven’t been able to decode any human language

why do so many undergraduate papers read like they’re written by space aliens? Inexplicable word choices, unrecognizable grammar…

Of course the institutional right always screws their radicals too but not on what allows them to exist and organize

5

mainstream Right understands this. If Left got as worked up about the 1st Amendment as Right gets about the 2nd, OWS’d still be in Zuccotti

But that means they can’t betray us instantly on basic existential issues like freedom of assembly

8

What progressives don’t understand is that they can’t get anywhere w/out having a radical left there to betray

Now I’m trying to decide which I prefer: Peirce/Whitehead’s argument natural laws are really “habits” or Bhaskar’s that they’re “tendencies”

People like Ortz & Dolan should be denied the company decent human beings forever. http://t.co/8vUw2NYW

I’m not religious, but militant atheists like Dawson irk me – they betray the spirit of open-mindedness that made their existence possible

“if someone is in need of knowledge & u can provide it, but u don’t, u are guilty of a crime against the human spirit” http://t.co/qY87q9Nn

In NYC I still have the plastic bullet that hit me on the head in Quebec City that Brad retrieved for me. Somehow I just want to touch it

Aaron is the second person I actually knew who was killed for his ideals. The 1st was Brad WIll. Somehow I keep thinking of Brad too now

okay so I’m totally going to do all my unfinished grading from last term today. I so will not do anything else.

Not sure how I feel about all these young TEDx organizers wandering about w XEROX stamped on their backs

6

Trying to concentrate on TEDx but periodically unable due to sadness & anger over death of Aaron Swartz

is it austerity or British cultural traditions that few rooms are heated very well? Sleep in my sweater. Keep my coat on in my office…

I will be doing a Reddit AMA on January 28th at 10AM EST, 3PM GMT – for those who are into this sort of thing.

So have I ever had a flight w a connection where they DIDN’T lose my bags? It must have happened once

3

seems to be organized by a collective of young women who want it to be a kind of utopian eco-TED

2

aha – so it’s an alternative TED, or TEDx in the lingo, I now learn. To be held at Whitechapel.

why I wonder if I should return to US academia: inflicting debt on students to pay parasitical administrators http://t.co/OstIUDxe
