I’m an anthropologist, sometimes I occupy things & such.

I see anarchism as something you do not an identity...

...so don’t call me the anarchist anthropologist

(..) at supposed violation of codes of civility. Ie, “ur a good chap, Jeeves, but you’re an imbecile.” “What? How could you call me (…)

Stereotype is: elite type says superficially polite but vicious thing about inferior. Inferior objects. Elite type pretends outrage (…)

7

I think if I ever have the time I’ll write a brief essay on the phenomenon of what I will call “class baiting”

7

Wow, I still have more than twice as many followers as tweets. That must mean something good, mustn’t it?

Me, I tend to keep my academic work, and anarchist work, separate. Who’d want an “anarchist studies” department anyway?

Irony is I’ve never once published anything on anarchism in a peer-reviewed journal or presented at the Anarchist Studies conference.

Here’s someone who missed my point in Fragments. I didn’t say lack of anarchism in the academy was necessarily so bad. http://t.co/jfztvVTF.

Still researching Batman politics. Hadn’t realized Ra’s al-Gul in the comics, who debuted in 1971, is basically John Zerzan

Superheroes aren’t fascists. They’re just decent people living in a world where fascism is the only genuinely political possibility

2500 words into my Batman piece and it’s maybe half-finished. Man, how am I going to publish this thing?

here’s another Marxian analysis that makes me some sort of Mutualist based on their own fantasies – http://t.co/I7uPN7qj

Why do people keep repeating this strange assertion that Arjun Appadurai is a Marxist? Where does it come from?

1

But do people really want to reach their full potential? I’m guessing most would be content with about 3/4

Richard Dienst – “we must give away the university” – I thought he said “the universal!” Thought: why yes. The universal belongs to everyone

3

Also: the Freudian subtext of the classic superhero comic is so obvious one barely needs remark but anyone know good essays?

4

but if I were to write up a longish essay on Batman, superheroes, and constituent power – who would publish it?

When I left the Charlie Rose studio in 2006 I said “see you next time.” They looked at me as if I were odd. http://t.co/pYBjnX1l

So new jubilee proposals are cropping up everywhere. But: does anyone know of one that combines it with decreasing working hours?
