@dominichills5 @silenceindustry @LovellPropguru @ztarasj @michaellondonsf @LDNRentersUnion Not even remotely. Consensus for instance is a way for a group of people to come up with a common course of action. It assumes they have some reason to come up with a common course of action.

@ztarasj @silenceindustry @LovellPropguru @michaellondonsf @LDNRentersUnion I mean far be it from me to tell people what they should do to pass the time

@silenceindustry @LovellPropguru @ztarasj @michaellondonsf @LDNRentersUnion I don’t understand why intelligent people are still arguing with this guy. He brings nothing to the table, obviously is incapable of learning anything from anyone, & just wants to waste your time. I muted him days ago.

@dominichills5 @inside_lemon @silenceindustry @LovellPropguru @ztarasj @michaellondonsf @LDNRentersUnion I thought that was Tolkien

@silenceindustry @LovellPropguru @ztarasj @michaellondonsf @LDNRentersUnion Orwell criticised the Communist Party of his day for not being radical enough. He started as more of a Trotskyist and ended up more of an anarchist but the idea that he was anti-revolutionary is bizarre.

@AdBaumann I think we are all being encouraged to think that way but I am suggesting we resist that

@interstar @taiyubr7 @guardian @KathViner I think they do not, but if they did, I can assure you that person has already received hundreds of complaints

@inside_lemon well they act as if putting up with you is an indulgence, like they might for a child prodigy who is sitting in the seminar room but doesn’t really belong there. I think it’s especially unnerving for women from poor backgrounds.

@inside_lemon oh its all right at this point it doesn’t matter. But I worry about other, younger people in the same situation

@FeelsMcReals well yeah me too, but my point is that politicians are playing on the natural desire to return to sociability to actually return to a regime of financial extractivism

1

@ethifel people talking about that sort of thing don’t call it “the economy” they call it “normal life”

@FeelsMcReals yes but it’s not what they’re really talking about when they say “get the economy up and running” is it?

@AdBaumann no actually I don’t think that’s what they mean by “the economy” – if they’re talking about things like that they say “normal life”

@inside_lemon @DisenzNet @ljkucic Yeah that was a weird idea for a drop quote! What’s up with that?

@lajoie__ @DisenzNet @ljkucic Yes a fascist who recognizes the crisis will use it to try to justify horrific actions, possibly, genocide. We need to be prepared for this by coming up with non-genocidal solutions

@trvisfw There’s a difference between saying something’s subjective value as measured by market price has gone up and saying it’s “productive.” Or there should be.

@lajoie__ @DisenzNet @ljkucic the exact quote iirc was “if there’s anything scarier than a fascist who denies global warming, it’s a fascist who doesn’t.”

@gregrgoodman um you already tweeted that exact tweet in a different conversation. And I already answered it. Now you’re doing it again, feigning surprise and outrage. Again. Just fyi, this is how people get blocked.

@gregrgoodman @DisenzNet @ljkucic Omg! I just checked your profile and you actually ARE a schoolteacher. That’s hilarious.

@gregrgoodman @DisenzNet @ljkucic You mean not only was I over-generous in allowing the interviewers initial point before instantly changing the subject, but the roughly 16 pages of observations that follow were all inadequate as a result & must be done over. Lucky not to have had YOU as a schoolteacher!

@gregrgoodman @DisenzNet @ljkucic It was the interviewer’s point and I let it go because it was true for a while.
