@Itnom You are essentially lecturing someone you don’t know who is unusually productive that you simply assume that they are inefficient & could do 2-3x as much. This is arrogant in multiple ways. The fact you can’t figure that out is not my problem.

@Pete_Branscombe actually it is. I basically work all day, taking breaks mainly to hang out with friends. I don’t have time to run more than 2-3 projects at once & something which takes a lot of work relatively to pay-off (languages) or that I might not be good at (music, science) I postpone

@djadelaney well I was kind of assuming longevity was generalised – I suppose it was just me who got it, then I’d feel obliged to spend most of my time researching how I got it so I could give the same longevity to anyone else who wanted it

@marcgarrett20 exactly! To get to where I am despite not coming from the right background, I had to lose 10 years of my life, cumulatively, to working shit jobs or otherwise lay waste to huge stretches of time that I could have been really living.

@james_e_baldwin interesting point. I enjoy sleep. I think you do process things while you sleep – I often sleep on a problem and wake up with a solution – but maybe those things could be done otherwise. I don’t know.
